Prassano Gorge.

Located 10 km south-east of Rethymno and south of the picturesque village of Prasses.

A challenging gorge with impressive rock formations and some relatively difficult passages, but in general one that rewards you with its tranquility and beauty, is also known as the Vultures Gorge.

It is about a 4-hour hike on mainly pebbles, gravel and some rock formations. An experience and confrontation with an immensely natural environment in which you can feel so small and vulnerable.

Before reaching the entrance of the gorge, we first have a warming-up of about half an hour.

Once we reach the end of the gorge, we continue our way along an earth trail, where you have the opportunity to stretch your legs until we reach the tavern in Missiria and can then enjoy a well-deserved lunch.

Depending on the amount of water flowing through the gorge in spring, it is accessible from June to mid-October…. We will inspect the gorge as early as May.

The moment we can guarantee safety for our walkers, then this hike will take place.
