A circular walk in the forested area, east of Agouseliana we pass 3 villages.
Walking on the ridge of the Kouroupa we pass underneath the archaeological site of a Minoan sanctuary.
On country roads we walk along the river towards the village of Atsipades.
The highlight before the coffee break is the visit to one of the Turkish defense towers: ‘Koules’. This characteristic fortress is located near the entrance of the Kourtaliotiko gorge with beautiful views of the surroundings and the highest peak: The Psiloritis.
In the village of Koxare, we have our coffee in an unique coffee house.
After this break, we continue our journey in the direction of the old village of Atsipades, which slided down due to heavy rainfall in the 70s.
Through olive groves and vineyards, we finish the walk with a delicious lunch in the tavern of Agouseliana.
